PATNA: Three unidentified armed criminals looted around Rs 2.5 lakh from a collection agent near Garaul railway station under Garaul police station in Vaishali district on Wednesday. Criminals also shot at the agent, Amit Kumar, during the loot.
Garaul police station SHO Dilip Kumar said that Amit was going to the platform after crossing tracks when two suspects suddenly approached him on foot and fled with the bag filled with money after snatching it from the victim.

“Amit raised alarm and stared chasing the duo when one of them open fried on Amit which hit him on one of his legs,” the SHO said. He also said that one more criminal was on a bike far from the spot and the duo fled with him after the incident.
The SHO said Amit works of Sanjay Kejriwal, a garment trader based in Muzaffarpur district. “Amit used to collect money from several businessmen in Vaishali daily after which he returned to Muzaffarpur by train,” SHO Kumar said.
